YMCA Youth Dance Fall 2021

The Grand Lake Family YMCA will offer fall dance lessons for youth 5 years to 18 years of age.  Lyrical and Contemporary styles will be taught in each class by dance instructor Kaylee Wallace.  Registration will begin July 5 and will continue through August 13, 2021.

Monday, August 9th at 6:30 pm Kaylee will have an open house(at the Grove Y) for interested participants and their parents/guardians to hear about the program and to ask any questions you might have.

Classes will begin the week of August 16th & 17th, and will be held in the YMCA upstairs fitness studio. 

Times of classes subject to change due to number of participants in each age groups.

Monday, August 19th, 8 years to 12 year olds class time 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
Tuesday, August 20th, 5 years to 7 year olds class time 5:30 - 7:00 pm.
Tuesday, August 20th, 13 years to 18 years of age class time 7:00 -8:30 pm.

Program Dues:

Monthly YMCA members $50 (due the first class of every month)

Monthly non-members $60 (due the first class of every month)

Shirt $15 (must be paid for at time of registration)

Recital costumes $80 this is for all their costumes one flat payment (due by November 5th, 2019)

*Participants will need dance paws you can get at Walmart or amazon and a black sleeveless dance leotard.

Fencing 

Kurt Hagen, volunteer instructor for the YMCA fencing classes are held at 7:00 pm every Thursday evening at the Y in the upstairs fitness studio. If you have ever wanted to try fencing now is the time. It is a very challenging, and fun sport. The class is for 12 year olds through adults. Cost is $10 per month for Y members and $15 per month for non-members. For more information contact the YMCA at 918-786-5774.

Rec League Soccer(Travel Soccer)

Grove Soccer Club(not a YMCA program) is for ages 10-19 years of age. The Soccer club has Fall and Spring Leagues look for information on their website and Facebook page. The YMCA usually has information from the club by July for the Fall League and January for the Spring leagues respectfully.  These teams travel to other communities that have soccer teams and play against them.
